Why create a SunPorch^® account?
- Your SunPorch^® account enables you to save and personalize any number of sun room quotes. You may also return and modify quotes or compare multiple quotes, print personalized order forms. In addition, as a member of the SunPorch^® website, you may qualify for special offers and receive important SunPorch^® information via email.
Do you offer financing?
- No. Your best financing rates can be found at a local bank or credit union or on the Internet from Lendingtree.com (800-411-8733).
Can I buy wall panels to enclose a covered porch?
- SunPorch is designed as a completely engineered system. We do not create enclosed porches, decks, or patio rooms with existing roofs by supplying wall panels only. Additionally, we do not offer a roof-only system or patio room cover. Replacement parts are only available for SunPorch sunroom owners.
Can I buy just the roof system?

Does your company have local dealers and can you visit with us?
- SunPorch is sold factory direct to you as do it yourself sun room kits for the greatest savings. You save money because you participate in measuring, ordering, and managing the project. If you need further assistance with adding a sunroom, please send us photos, sketches and measurements of your project, and our CAD department will be happy to help and provide a cost quotation. Please note that there are no discounts for dealers or contractors.
How do I find a local installer?
- The installation of your SunPorch sunroom addition requires basic to intermediate carpentry skills. If you are unable to do so, look in your yellow pages under "handyman" or "contractors" for someone to help build your own sunroom. Also check the "home improvement" section in the classifieds of your local newspaper. The Better Business Bureau and/or Chamber or Commerce should also be contacted.
Can I walk on the roof of the structure?
- Yes. Our sun room conservatories have strong roofs that are designed to handle snow loads. You can walk on the framing members and not the roof glazing. If you require access to your house wall above the SunPorch sun room roof, simply put some 2x4s or a plywood sheet across the rafters.
Do you make free-standing models or pool enclosures?
- All SunPorch sunroom designs are of the lean-to style and require a wall of your home to mount against. Free-standing models to cover a pool require different engineering and are not possible with a SunPorch sun room/screen room.
Do you sell and ship to all 50 States and Canada?
- Yes. All prices shown are in US Dollars. Shipping and handling charges for mainland US are shown on the order form. Those shipping sunrooms to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada and elsewhere will be quoted at time of order.
Can sunrooms be attached to a trailer or mobile home?
- Yes. The SunPorch is a lean-to model and requires permanent wood headers and verticals for support to the wall where it is mounted. If your home can accommodate this type of construction, then it is possible to attach a SunPorch sun room.
Can the SunPorch be taken down and moved?
- Your SunPorch sun room/screen room was designed to fit your home and sized to your specific location. Once installed, it is suggested the unit should remain in place as a permanent addition to your home. Our repeat customers find it more convenient to size and order a new SunPorch sun room kit when they move.
Can I change the size of the SunPorch after it has been installed?
- Practically yes, sensibly no. The width of your sun room is fixed and cannot be changed. It is possible to increase the length, but the process is expensive and requires extra labor. Adding-on later incurs additional shipping fees and requires disassembly of the unit. It is best to plan ahead and budget your sunroom design for the larger size.
How long does it take for delivery and can I reserve it for a later date?
- Generally speaking, most sun room additions are shipped within 2-3 weeks upon receipt of final payment. It is suggested to plan your schedule as early as possible. You can order your SunPorch sun room kit with a fully refundable $100 deposit. It can then be held for up to 90 days, or longer upon special request. After 90 days, you can pay for your order in full and we can pre-pack, store & have your sun room kit ready for delivery at your convenience.
In selecting any sunroom, how can I be sure I am getting
the best value for my money?
- First, you need to determine your needs and budget. If you desire a sun room addition that is outdoor recreational space, the SunPorch Sunroom/Screenroom kit is an outstanding value. If you need primary indoor "habitable" space that is heated and cooled year around, then be prepared to spend 2-to-4 times the price of a SunPorch sun room and hire a contractor to build a room addition.
Does tinted glazing add privacy?
- No. Tinted glazing will help reduce heat buildup. Additionally, your choice of tinted glazing applies year round (even in winter), and does not offer privacy when the windows are removed. Sunroom privacy is best achieved through a roll up shade or mini-blind, which is also effective against heat from the sun.
