Measuring your site and selecting the width, lenght & height for your new SunPorch sunroom is easy. Just follow the step-by-step instructions in this section and be sure to write each measurement down as a handy reference for ordering.

Remember: All measurements are made based on standing with your back to the wall to which you are attaching the SunPorch

MOUNTING SURFACE: The sunroom/screenroom mounting surface may be a wood deck, concrete slab, or patio area that is level.
HEIGHT: Distance from sunroom/screenroom mounting surface up to the first obstruction, such as an eave, overhang.
WIDTH: Distance from the house wall, looking out.
LENGTH: Distance along front wall from end to end.
FRONT EVE: Top of the front wall of the SunPorch.
HEIGHT: Distance from mounting surface to top outer dimension of the SunPorch.
BAY: Front wall and end wall modules are on 3' centers; each module called a 3' bay.
RIGHT AND LEFT END WALLS: Refers to either the right or left hand ends of the Sun-Porch, with your back to the house wall looking outward.
KNEE WALL: Structure mounted on a wall so that top ridge can be mounted at the increased height.

KNEE WALL DOOR: Door at ground level when knee-wall is used.
MODIFICATIONS: Changes to standard sunroom/screenroom sizes
LENGTH REDUCTION: If it is necessary to reduce the length of the SunPorch unit, the 3' front wall and roof panels at the left hand end (from the inside, with back to wall) will be reduced in length.
WIDTH REDUCTION: If it is necessary to reduce the width of the SunPorch unit, the 3' end wall and roof panels closest to the attachment wall of the replacement structure will be reduced in width.
HEIGHT REDUCTION: If it is necessary to reduce the height of the SunPorch unit, both sashes will be reduced in height.
HEIGHT INCREASED: If it is necessary to raise the height of the SunPorch unit, (and the kneewall is not the best solution), transom panels will be added above the eye-level panel to compensate for the added height.
ROOF PITCH: The roof pitch of the SunPorch until cannot be modified.

Door information:

Door included with all sunroom/screenroom models.
When assembling sunroom kit, you can mount door in any front or end wall bay, hinged right or left.
Sun room door swings outward to meet building codes
Sun room door opening is 33" Wide x 6' 2" High.
Fits wheelchairs.

How to get the Most Sunroom for your Money

Try to match a Standard Sunroom Model to the space you wish to fill.
It may not be practical to fill every inch of the space you have.
First -- try to utilize a standard sun room size.
Second -- try to modify the existing mounting site using conventional materials.
Third -- and most expensive option, is to modify your SunPorch.
